The Process

1. You send me an email or call to describe what you need. It's best if you also send me the text or texts requiring translation right away.

2. I send you a quotation and/or we negotiate a price.

3. Once we've agreed on these things, we set a date for completion of the translation.

4. It's always good to get a briefing from you. This way I have a clear idea of what you want. The more information I receive from you, the better!

Also important:

- Someone I can contact to get questions (I almost always have a few) answered.

- Information on the country or countries where the translation will be used, the target group and what you want to achieve.

- Information on how specifically the translation will be used; for example, on a website, as a brochure or mailshot etc. etc.

- If you have any specific wishes or requirements regarding the terminology that should be used or already have a relevant glossary for the English-language version, please let me know. I also save terminology I research myself for subsequent jobs.

- If possible, examples of similar translations that you have done yourself or somewhere else.

5. I get down to work and contact you in case I have any questions.

6. Sie erhalten die fertige Übersetzung im gewünschten Format. Falls Sie Änderungswünsche haben, baue ich sie ein, auch nachträglich.

You receive the finished translation in the requested format. In case you later want any changes, I'm happy to make them.

7. On request I'll be happy to proofread the text after it has been inserted in a website, prepared for printing etc.
